Over the last three years there have been two different times when people who I know personally have decided to end their lives. They did not know one another and in fact lived several hundred miles a part but both had one key thing in common – depression in large part brought on by being unemployed.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are feeling down, or lost or without hope because of your job-search situation PLEASE find someone to talk to about it (ideally someone who is qualified to do so).
Until next time – good hunting and good luck!

A good message. Reach out for qualified help when you are in the depths of despair.
Now I am going to be tough! We are talking about treating the symptoms, yes this is important. What about creating a sense of hope! We have politicians stating that people receiving benefits need to get a job. The same politicians say to those who demonstrate about a lack of hope, ‘get washed and then get a job’. Few voices of care shout an objection to such intolerance. What has happened with society? Why has it become so uncaring?
We now have 1 in 6 people living below poverty lines, the highest this has been in 27 years. We should start the fight for a brighter future we need to work together to demand better from our leaders. When people who feel hopeless see the masses calling for change they start to feel better than maybe there is hope at last!
Come on Americans, the unemployed are real heros, they worked hard to bring benefit to this country, in their time of need they require your support!
